17th of January 2010:
Dear Fellows,
The Department of Greek Studies and the Institute of Classical
Studies at the Catholic University of Lublin are pleased to
invite you to participate in the conference 'Colloquia Orphica'
devoted to the problems related to Orphic religion, which will
take place in the days from the 6th (supper) to the 9th
(breakfast) of October in Nieborów.
This will be already the second such meeting organized by our
Institute. The organization of this symposium is an answer to
increasing interest in the subject area of Orphism along with
its various aspects and manifestations in many areas of life of
the ancient, especially in light of the recent findings in the
field of papyrology. Our intention is to enable the meeting and
discussion over these fascinating questions, so papers
concerning every possible aspect of Orphism will be welcome.
The previous edition, arranged in October 2009, united the
research of Polish and classical philologists, historians,
educationists, sociologists and biblists, demonstrating the
broadness and multilayerness of Orphism. Because of that we
decided to repeat the meeting in its established form also this
year.
Conference fee is 430 zlotys and should be paid until 15th of
July 2010 to the following account:
Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II
Al. Racławickie 14, 20-950 Lublin

to the address: kulig@kul.lublin.pl.
We would like the finished papers to be written in form of
